Privacy Policy

At Woodglade Consulting (TA 'The Success Architect'), we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site. In particular, we want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We just don’t do that sort of thing and in the interests of transparency, in this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

So, put the kettle on, grab a coffee and read on.

Types of data we collect

To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most big websites do this too.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

You’ll find more detailed information on what cookies we use on our site, and how to disable these included in our Cookie Policy (see below).

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection manager.

Ticketing Data

When you purchase a ticket (or tickets) to an event your name, email and contact number (if provided) will be stored within the Eventbrite system. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent.

Third Parties

Unless required to do so legally, we will not disclose your personal data to any other third party.

Links to External Websites and Sponsored Links

In the interests of providing engaging and relevant material on our website, links may be included which take you to external sites. The inclusion of such links shouldn’t be seen as an endorsement of products of services provided by companies other than Woodglade Consulting Ltd.

When you choose to click on an external link, take time to check their policies before handing over your personal data. We cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned, or for responsibility or liabilities for external policies.

How do we use cookies?

When you use and access our website, we may place a number of cookies files in your web browser.

We use cookies for the following purposes: to enable certain functions of the Service, to provide analytics, to store your preferences, to enable advertisements delivery, including behavioural advertising.

What types of cookies we use...

We use both session cookies and persistent cookies.

Session cookies last only for the duration of your visit and are deleted when you close your browser. They facilitate tasks such as allowing a website to identify that a user of a particular device is navigating from page to page, supporting website security or basic functionality.

Persistent cookies last after you have closed your browser, and allow a website to remember your actions and preferences. Sometimes persistent cookies are used by websites to provide targeted advertising based on the browsing history of the device.

Analytical cookies - these cookies help us analyse the effectiveness of our website. For example - they may record how many visitors visit our website, and which pages they visit whilst here.

Essential cookies - as the name suggests these cookies are essential for the smooth operation of our website. For example, cookies which facilitate logging onto our members only area and help prevent fraudulent use of user accounts.

Functionality cookies - these recall certain details about you when you re-visit our site. For example, which language you choose. In our members area, they enable us to greet you by name.

Targeting cookies - these cookies note which links you follow and enable us to , as their name suggests, target advertising specific to your interests.

A number of our pages use cookies to remember:

your display preferences, such as contrast colour settings or font size

if you have already replied to a survey pop-up that asks you if the content was helpful or not (so you won't be asked again)

if you have agreed (or not) to our use of cookies on this site

Also, some videos embedded in our pages use a cookie to anonymously gather statistics on how you got there and what videos you visited.

Enabling these cookies is not strictly necessary for the website to work but it will provide you with a better browsing experience. You can delete or block these cookies, but if you do that some features of this site may not work as intended.

The cookie-related information is not used to identify you personally and the pattern data is fully under our control. These cookies are not used for any purpose other than those described here.

Third Party Cookies -  Please note that third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookie

How to control cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org.

You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed.

If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
